Horizon Robotics has officially launched the HSD V2.1 full-scene advanced driver assistance system. The iCAR V27 model will be the first to receive this update, with over-the-air deployments scheduled to begin on October 8.
The V2.1 update introduces a full-scene parking feature in beta, alongside new capabilities for remote parking via physical keys and custom parking space selection. The system now includes 360-degree panoramic imaging and improved tracking for parking maneuvers.
Driving assistance enhancements include more human-like steering trajectories and optimized lane selection based on real-time traffic data. The system improves risk detection for pedestrians and obstacles, enabling proactive lane changes to avoid potential hazards.
Safety features have been upgraded through a refined visual neural network, improving collision avoidance during low-speed turns and cut-in scenarios. The update also enhances the trigger success rate for Automatic Emergency Steering (AES) in complex traffic environments.
Users can unlock a new HMI block theme upon reaching 100 kilometers of driving distance using the HSD system. Additional interface improvements include better rendering for narrow parking spaces and refined logic for parking assistance exits and takeovers.
