Honor has officially unveiled the SmallRia professional video expansion kit, specifically designed for the upcoming Magic9 Pro Max smartphone. The company confirmed that the new accessory will be available for purchase starting September 28.

The Magic9 Pro Max features an advanced imaging system, including a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. The device supports the ARRI LogC3 video pipeline and includes professional tools like focus peaking and false color monitoring.

The expansion kit aims to enhance the device's cinematic capabilities, offering a professional grip and two telephoto lens attachments: the G200 with a 200mm focal length and the G500 with a 500mm focal length. These tools are intended to assist users in managing complex shooting environments.

Honor collaborated with the film brand ARRI to integrate professional color science and imaging workflows into the smartphone. The design of the camera module, dubbed the Director's Eye, draws inspiration from the historical ARRIFLEX 35 cinema camera, maintaining the aesthetic standards of the Magic series.
