Honor CEO Li Jian announced that the upcoming Magic9 smartphone series marks the tenth anniversary of the company's flagship line. The official launch of the new devices is scheduled for September 28. The company positions this release as its first major product following a brand refresh, focusing on improvements in design, imaging, and artificial intelligence capabilities.
According to the pricing details shared, the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration of the Magic9 will be available for ¥5499 after applying government subsidies. The series is expected to feature several models, including a high-performance version equipped with an active cooling fan to manage hardware thermal output during intensive tasks.
Technical specifications for the series suggest the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 processor and the proprietary Yu Guang H1 chip. The Pro Max model is anticipated to support 4K video recording at 120 frames per second across all focal lengths. Smaller models may feature a 6.36-inch display, while battery capacities are rumored to range from 8000mAh to 10000mAh.
The design of the new lineup will offer a variety of color options, including popcorn yellow, opening white, curtain black, and olive green.
