Honor has unveiled a new audio feature for its upcoming Magic9 smartphone series. The devices will be equipped with a cinematic-grade directional microphone designed to capture clear audio from distances of up to 20 meters. The technology is intended to record distant voices and live music while effectively suppressing background noise.
The microphone features a long-range sound capture function with a focus range of ±60 degrees, allowing users to isolate audio from specific directions. According to Honor, this new hardware provides a 300% increase in recording range and a 158% improvement in sensitivity compared to previous models.
In addition to audio enhancements, the Magic9 series will feature a 6.37-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution. The smartphone is also set to include a high-capacity 8000 mAh battery. The official launch of the new product line is scheduled for September 28.
