Honor has unveiled details about its upcoming Magic9 smartphone series, highlighting a new 55-megapixel front-facing camera called Agile Eye. The manufacturer claims this is the first Android device to feature a square sensor for the front camera, which allows for consistent image quality in both portrait and landscape orientations.

The Agile Eye camera will be integrated into the Honor Magic9 and Magic9 Pro Max models. Beyond the front camera, the series emphasizes advanced photography capabilities developed in collaboration with ARRI. The rear camera system includes two 200-megapixel sensors and a 500 mm teleconverter, marking a first for the brand.

The flagship Magic9 Pro Max features a redesigned exterior with updated edges and a rear panel inspired by the ARRI FLEX 35 cinema camera. Additionally, the series introduces the ARRI Cinema Mode, designed to provide users with professional-grade cinematic shooting capabilities directly from their mobile devices.
