The Honor Magic9 Pro Max features a redesigned camera module with a horizontal layout containing two small circles and one large circle. The module includes branding indicating a collaboration with ARRI for imaging technology.
The device supports external lens attachments. According to reports, Honor plans to offer a professional imaging grip and two telephoto lens accessories: the G200 with a 200mm focal length and the G500 with a 500mm focal length, which may be the longest telephoto external lens for a smartphone.
The Magic 9 series incorporates ARRI's century-old film color science. The smartphones natively support the ARRI LogC3 logarithmic gamma curve and the AWG3 wide color gamut to preserve light and color data during capture.
The system includes built-in ARRI Look profiles, allowing users to produce cinematic-quality footage directly on the device without requiring external color grading.
