Honor has unveiled the Honor Life S3, a compact e-reader featuring a 3.68-inch E-Ink display. The device is designed to attach magnetically to the back of a smartphone, offering a portable alternative for reading. It is priced at ¥399, which is approximately $60.

The e-reader weighs 61 grams and measures 5.6 mm in thickness. Its display has a pixel density of 259 PPI and includes a soft lighting feature for eye protection. The device lacks physical buttons, relying entirely on a touch-sensitive interface for navigation and page turning.

The S3 runs on an RTOS operating system and provides access to a library of over 700,000 titles. Users can transfer books wirelessly via the Honor Smart Space application. For local storage, the device supports TF memory cards with capacities of up to 1 TB.

In terms of battery life, the device is rated for up to 30 hours of continuous reading. Under typical usage conditions, the battery is expected to last for one week on a single charge. The product was introduced alongside the new Honor Magic 9 smartphone series.
