Honor has officially postponed the release of its Honor Life S3 e-ink reader, which was originally scheduled to begin pre-sales on October 10. The company stated that the decision follows feedback from reviewers received after the initial product announcement in September.
The development team intends to use the additional time to refine the system experience and improve reading comfort. Furthermore, the company plans to optimize specific features, including file and image transfer capabilities, to better meet user expectations.
The Honor Life S3 device features a compact design, weighing approximately 61g with a thickness of 5.6mm. It is designed with a magnetic attachment mechanism that allows it to be fixed to the back of a smartphone.
The reader is equipped with a 3.68-inch soft-light e-ink display with a resolution of 259PPI. The device supports Wi-Fi 6 for file transfers via the Honor Smart Space app and requires a TF card for storage, with support for capacities up to 1TB.
