Hong Kong authorities have designated the Nasdaq-listed Solana Company as a strategic enterprise. The firm was selected as part of the seventh batch of companies under the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises program, becoming the only blockchain infrastructure provider added to the initiative in 2026.
The government program currently includes 142 businesses, with 18 new members added last week. This status grants Solana Company access to a dedicated government point of contact, streamlined processes for hiring international talent, and networking opportunities with local institutional partners.
Solana Company focuses on staking, validator infrastructure, and blockchain advisory services for financial institutions. The company also maintains a digital asset treasury that includes Solana tokens. As part of its expansion, the firm intends to launch validator operations in Hong Kong.
These new operations will function under the Pacific Backbone initiative. The project aims to develop a low-latency blockchain infrastructure network spanning the Asia-Pacific region.
