HMD Global has revived the Asha brand, previously used by Nokia for entry-level mobile devices. The new HMD Asha 305 runs on the Android-based Pulse OS and does not include Google Play services. Instead, the company provides its own app store featuring lightweight software such as TikTok Lite.

The device features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a Unisoc T137 processor, paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Both the front and rear cameras are equipped with 2-megapixel sensors.

The smartphone includes a 2500 mAh battery that supports 5W charging, with the manufacturer claiming up to 32 hours of battery life. The handset measures 10.2 mm in thickness and weighs 145 grams. It will be available in black and bright green color options.

While the original Asha series occupied a niche between basic feature phones and smartphones in the early 2010s, HMD aims to adapt this concept for the modern Android platform. The company has not yet disclosed the pricing or the official release date for the device.
