HelmGuard has secured $7.3 million in seed funding, co-led by Infinity Ventures and Frontline. Other participants include FinTech Collective, Stage 2 Capital, Entrepreneurs First, and a group of angel investors. The round attracted approximately ten term sheet offers.

The company was founded by John Daley, a former Palantir employee with eight years of experience in security and compliance, and Jack Miller, an AI researcher who worked on early LLMs at OpenAI and Google. The founders were recruited by Matt Clifford of Entrepreneurs First, who became the first investor.

The platform focuses on automating governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) using AI agents. Unlike traditional tools like Vanta, Drata, and Secureframe, which provide checklists, HelmGuard uses AI agents to handle these tasks autonomously. The system integrates internal compliance, third-party risk, and AI governance into a single graph.

To ensure accuracy, the platform implements a confidence score for each assessment, a citation system, and human review for critical decisions. The company demonstrated its scalability by conducting a risk assessment of 1,250 counterparties for a US insurance client in under a week. Callosum has also used the platform to build its security program.

The enterprise GRC software market is valued at $72.4 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $203.7 billion by 2033, with a CAGR of 13.7%. HelmGuard's team has grown from three to 10 people in the last two months.

The funding will be used for hiring, product expansion, and expanding the market presence beyond the UK and US. Based in London, the company plans to open a US office and aims for a Series A round in 12 to 18 months.
