Publicly traded firm Hawkeye Digital, listed as OTC: HWKE, has announced a partnership with Securitize to tokenize its common stock on the Ethereum blockchain. The initiative aims to allow eligible shareholders to hold and transfer their equity on-chain starting in 2027.
These digital shares will represent the same common stock currently traded on OTC Markets, ensuring that existing dividend and voting rights remain intact. Each holding will be recorded on Ethereum and reconciled with the company’s official shareholder registry to enable near real-time settlement.
To participate, shareholders must move their holdings from brokerage accounts to direct registration with the company’s transfer agent. After completing identity verification and anti-money laundering checks, they can convert their shares through Securitize. The process is optional and reversible.
Securitize, which serves as the New York Stock Exchange’s first digital transfer agent, reported approximately $5 billion in tokenized assets on its platform as of September 30. The firm works with major asset managers such as BlackRock, Apollo, and KKR.
Hawkeye Digital noted that it currently lacks an operating history in corporate advisory or the digital asset sector. The company stated that its growth plans remain subject to various regulatory and financing risks.
