San Francisco-based Harvey closed a $550 million funding round on September 9, bringing its valuation to $15.6 billion. This is an increase from $11 billion six months ago. The company has raised more than $1.5 billion in total funding to date.

The round was co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Diffusion. New investors include Sapphire Ventures and Whale Rock Capital Management, while Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, and Kleiner Perkins returned as backers.

Harvey's annual recurring revenue has exceeded $400 million, nearly doubling since March 2026. The startup now serves over 3,000 organizational customers, including Microsoft and 80% of the Am Law 100 firms.

The company announced the acquisition of Guardrails AI, a San Francisco startup specializing in AI agent security. This deal integrates Guardrails' engineering team and co-founders into Harvey's operations.

Recent product launches include Harvey Tenet, a post-trained open-weight model for legal use, and Harvey LAB (Legal Agent Benchmark), a framework for evaluating AI performance in the legal sector.
