Huawei officially introduced the HarmonyOS 7 operating system on September 7. Public testing is currently underway for the Mate 80 series, MatePad Edge, and MateBook Pro, while the Mate 60 series and other devices have access to the beta version.
The updated Game Assistant in HarmonyOS 7 introduces several new features, including Super Resolution and Smart HDR. These options require system version 7.0.0.102 or higher and Game Assistant version 16.4.1.300 or higher to function on supported devices.
New performance tools include memory clearing to reduce lag and a direct power supply mode. The latter allows the charger to power the system directly during wired charging, bypassing the battery to decrease device heat when the battery level exceeds a set threshold.
Additional gaming enhancements include touch response settings, smart frame rate stabilization, and a brightness lock. The system also features a knuckle gesture blocker, notification silencing, and smart voice control for specific games like Sanguosha.
