A meme coin named Dacity Coin surged 2,900% following its appearance in the Grand Theft Auto 6 launch trailer. The token's market capitalization climbed from $104,000 to $3.18 million within an hour of the trailer's release.
The token was created on the Solana launchpad Pump.fun on October 11, five days before the trailer. Data from DEX Screener shows that 24 traders profited more than $10,000, with the top trader turning $1,912 into $44,000.
Dacity Coin currently holds a market cap of $1.5 million, marking a 53% decline from its peak. The game trailer features the brand on a plane, while leaked footage suggests the character Lucia uses an AudaCity parachute.
This marks the first confirmed instance of cryptocurrency references in GTA 6. Rockstar Games has not provided comments regarding the token, and the studio has not confirmed any official association with the project.
