Russian manufacturer GS LED, a division of GS Group, has commenced mass shipments of high-color rendering index LEDs to the lighting equipment producer Varton. The new components feature a CRI 90+ rating, which ensures high color accuracy for specialized environments.

Varton intends to integrate these LEDs into lighting solutions designed for medical and educational facilities, as well as public infrastructure projects. According to Varton executive director Sergey Mordavchenkov, the components meet the necessary performance and energy efficiency standards.

The partnership between the two companies spans five years, with total shipments exceeding 5 million units to date. In 2024, GS LED components were utilized in the Ionik series of park lighting fixtures, further deepening the collaboration.

GS LED conducts research and development in-house and manufactures its products at the Technopolis GS cluster in Gusev, Kaliningrad Region. In August 2026, the company became the first Russian manufacturer to register its LEDs in the national industrial product registry.
