Vietnamese mobility company Green SM has officially entered the North American market by launching an all-electric taxi service in Los Angeles. This expansion marks the ninth global market for the brand, which was originally founded in Vietnam in 2023.
The company operates a fleet comprised exclusively of VinFast electric vehicles, specifically utilizing the VF 8 model. Customers in the Los Angeles area can access the service through the dedicated Green SM mobile application, by phone, or by hailing a vehicle directly on the street.
As part of its growth strategy, Green SM plans to develop its local operations by recruiting and training drivers within the region. The company currently maintains a presence in several other countries, including Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
