Great Wall Motor has opened pre-orders for the Wey Gaoshan 8 and 9 Smart Edition MPVs. Customers who place a deposit of ¥5,000 will receive a discount of ¥8,000 on the final purchase price. The company also confirmed that the PHEV versions of these models are scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Gaoshan 9 Smart Edition features a 29.6-inch integrated smart screen, Qualcomm 8797 chip, and CoffeePilot 4 system powered by an Nvidia Thor-U chip. It includes dual lidar sensors and dual 5-megapixel cabin cameras. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0T engine and dual motors, delivering a total power of 458 hp and a CLTC electric range of 265 km.
The Gaoshan 8 Smart Edition HEV model includes a 3.64 kWh battery, a 2.0T engine, and Hi4 all-wheel drive. The PHEV variant features a 53.9 kWh battery, offering a CLTC electric range of 270 km and a combined range of 1,199 km. This model is equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder engine and dual motors, producing a system power of 357 kW and 644 Nm of torque.
Both vehicles share identical dimensions, measuring 5410/1960/1890 mm with a wheelbase of 3275 mm. The Gaoshan 9 introduces a dual-tone body design and second-row zero-gravity rotating seats. The interior of the Gaoshan 8 features dual 15.6-inch screens, while the Gaoshan 9 utilizes a single large integrated display.
