Great Wall Motor has filed documentation for a six-seat version of the Tank 700 SUV. The long-wheelbase model measures 214.4 inches in length and features a 124.0-inch wheelbase, making it 13.4 inches longer than the standard variant. The vehicle adopts a 2+2+2 seating configuration with captain's chairs in the middle row.

The new SUV variant weighs between 7,487 and 7,672 pounds, depending on the specific trim. Its braked towing capacity is rated at 5,512 pounds, which is lower than the 6,614-pound rating of the smaller Tank 500 model. These specifications position the vehicle as a competitor to the Yangwang U8L in the Chinese luxury SUV market.

The Tank 700 LWB offers two powertrain options. The Hi4-Z plug-in hybrid system combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a 59-kilowatt-hour battery. Alternatively, buyers can select a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The introduction of the six-seat model follows a decline in domestic sales for the standard Tank 700 Hi4-T, which dropped from 2,628 units in May to 2,003 units in July. Great Wall Motor has not yet confirmed any plans to release the long-wheelbase version of the Tank 700 in markets outside of China.
