Grayscale Investments has updated the custody arrangements for its Hyperliquid Staking ETF, trading under the ticker HYPG. According to an SEC filing dated October 5, 2026, BitGo Bank & Trust has been appointed as an additional custodian for the fund’s HYPE token holdings, effective September 30, 2026.

As of October 5, 2026, the fund managed assets worth approximately $217.8 million with 6.54 million shares outstanding. The ETF operates as a grantor trust and charges a management fee of 0.29%. This rate was the lowest among similar US-based HYPE products at the time of the fund's launch.

Approximately 88.66% of the fund's assets are currently staked, yielding average gross rewards of 2.26%. The fund, which began trading on Nasdaq on June 3, 2026, was previously known as the Grayscale HYPE ETF before its rebranding on May 26, 2026. The underlying HYPE token has a maximum supply of 1 billion units.

The inclusion of BitGo as a second custodian aims to reduce reliance on a single provider for the fund's holdings. Other market participants, including 21Shares and Bitwise, launched competing HYPE products in mid-May 2026 with management fees of 0.30%, slightly higher than the fee structure offered by Grayscale.
