Grayscale Investments has submitted an S-3/A registration statement to the SEC to convert its Litecoin Trust into an ETF. The company intends to list the shares on the NYSE Arca exchange, following a regulatory process that began in early 2025.

As of June 30, 2026, the trust reported 24.25 million shares outstanding with a net asset value of $82.28 million. The assets under management have decreased from over $215 million in early 2025 to approximately $82 million by mid-2026, marking a 62% decline.

The trust currently operates with a 2.5% annual sponsor fee. To support the transition, Grayscale has secured a prime brokerage agreement with Coinbase, which will manage the creation and redemption of shares if the ETF conversion is approved.

The product has traded over-the-counter under the ticker LTCN since January 2018. The conversion aims to introduce mechanisms that allow market makers to arbitrage price discrepancies, ensuring the share price aligns with the underlying Litecoin value.
