Grayscale Investments introduced four model portfolios on September 14, 2026, designed for financial advisors. These strategies aggregate multiple exchange-traded products into pre-built allocations, allowing advisors to integrate them into client accounts without creating individual investment theses.
The portfolios are managed by Grayscale Advisors, LLC and utilize market-cap weighting. Key features include quarterly rebalancing and a structural limit where no single asset can exceed 40% of the total portfolio weight to mitigate concentration risk.
Initial offerings include the Digital Assets Core Plus strategy, which covers Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Chainlink, and the Digital Assets Leaders strategy, which focuses on assets with the highest market capitalization.
This initiative marks a strategic shift for Grayscale, moving from its traditional focus on single-asset trusts like the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust toward diversified portfolio products. The company aims to leverage these portfolios as a distribution channel for its broader lineup of exchange-traded products.
The launch follows a similar move by Bitwise, which introduced its own model portfolios in February. Grayscale’s entry into this space reflects a broader industry trend of targeting financial advisors as a primary distribution channel for digital asset exposure.
