Graduate Ventures has officially launched its second seed fund with a total target of €125 million. According to the firm, €100 million of this amount has already been committed by investors. The new fund focuses on supporting Dutch technology startups, specifically targeting sectors such as artificial intelligence, deep tech, healthcare, and climate.
Founded in 2021 by alumni from Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam, the firm has already backed over 90 startups. Its current ecosystem includes a network of more than 200 experienced entrepreneurs who provide mentorship and industry connections. The organization maintains partnerships with eight universities and three university medical centers across the Netherlands.
The new fund is supported by prominent entrepreneurs, including Frank Slootman of Snowflake, Michiel Muller of Picnic, Jonas Ruyter of DataSnipper, and former ASML CEO Peter Wennink. Institutional participants include Invest-NL and Oost NL. In addition to the new seed vehicle, the firm continues to operate a pre-seed fund to support early-stage ventures.
The firm highlights the quantum technology company QuantWare as a key example of its investment strategy. Graduate Ventures provided early-stage funding to the Delft-based startup in 2021. Earlier this year, QuantWare successfully closed a Series B funding round, securing €152 million to further its development.
