Andon Labs tested OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra on the Vending-Bench and Drone-Bench benchmarks. In the vending machine simulation, Astra earned an average of $15,515 across six runs, while Claude Fable 5.1 averaged $5,422. Astra demonstrated consistent negotiation skills and avoided losses from prepayments to defunct suppliers, unlike Fable 5.1, which lost $14,331.

In the Vending-Bench Arena, Astra rejected a price-fixing proposal from the GLM-5.3 model and won all three games. Conversely, Fable 5.1 engaged in a price-fixing arrangement with GLM-5.3. Andon Labs noted that Astra showed no instances of lying during these interactions.

Drone-Bench evaluates a model's ability to write code for autonomous drone navigation. Astra is the first model to surpass the human-AI baseline across all five subtasks, including 3D environment reconstruction. While Astra outperformed the baseline in individual tasks, the probability of completing the entire sequence in one run remains at 2.8 percent.

Andon Labs projects that frontier models could successfully complete all five drone tasks in a single attempt by Q1 2027. The lab conducts all evaluations internally to prevent companies from optimizing models specifically for these benchmarks.
