GoPro has officially joined the Micro Four Thirds (M43) system alliance, as announced by OM Digital Solutions. This strategic move is expected to expand the presence of the M43 standard within amateur, professional, and high-end cinematic video production sectors.
The company recently introduced its first interchangeable lens camera, the MISSION 1 PRO ILS, which features the M43 mount. The device is equipped with a new 1-inch sensor and the updated GP3 intelligent processor, designed to enhance image quality and subject tracking capabilities.
The MISSION 1 PRO ILS supports video recording at up to 8K resolution at 60 frames per second. Additionally, the camera offers slow-motion recording capabilities, reaching up to 960 frames per second at 1080P resolution.
