The new Googlebook laptop series has entered the market, featuring models from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. All tested units were equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD storage. The devices run on Googlebook OS, a hybrid platform combining Android and ChromeOS elements with integrated Google Gemini AI tools.

Performance testing revealed a split in hardware capabilities. Models from Acer, Asus, and Lenovo utilize the Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, while Dell and HP units feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chip. In Geekbench 6 multi-core tests, the Snapdragon-based laptops outperformed their Intel counterparts by approximately 50 percent.

Graphics performance in 3DMark Wild Life Extreme also favored the Snapdragon X Elite architecture over Intel-based configurations. However, in CrossMark tests focused on productivity and interface responsiveness, the Intel-powered laptops demonstrated superior performance, while the Qualcomm-based models excelled in creative application tasks.

Battery life testing showed significant variance among the devices. Despite a manufacturer claim of 14 hours, the HP Googlebook 14 lasted nearly 12 hours, while the Asus Googlebook 14 reached less than 6.5 hours under standardized test conditions. All tested Googlebook models trailed behind comparable laptops running alternative operating systems.
