Google has expanded its wearable lineup with the Fitbit Edge, a new device positioned between the Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch. The base model is priced at $179.99, while a Stephen Curry Special Edition is available for $219.99.
The device features a 1.34-inch OLED display and supports Google Health Coach, which is powered by Gemini and requires a Google Health Premium subscription. It also includes the Health Guardian feature for monitoring health metrics like blood pressure and insulin resistance.
The Fitbit Edge can automatically recognize up to 100 activities and supports over 50 exercise modes. Google claims the built-in GPS is 40% more accurate than the previous generation, and sleep-stage detection has improved by 15%.
The wearable offers up to seven days of battery life and is water-resistant up to 50 meters. It is currently available for preorder on the Google Store in four colors: Obsidian, Fog, Olive, and Canyon, with retail availability starting October 27.
