The upcoming Fitbit Edge fitness tracker is positioned as a successor to the mid-range Charge series. According to leaked images, the device features a compact display capable of showing widgets, though it remains smaller than a full-sized smartwatch screen.
The device includes built-in GPS and an altimeter, offering higher performance than the entry-level Fitbit Air. It provides limited support for specific applications, including Google Maps and YouTube Music. The tracker is expected to offer a battery life of up to seven days.
While official pricing has not been confirmed, analysts estimate the device will cost between $150 and $200. This places the Edge between the Fitbit Air, priced at $99.99, and the Pixel Watch, which starts at $399.99. The current Charge 6 model retails for $159.95.
The previous update to the Charge line occurred in 2023. There is currently no confirmed release date for the new wearable device.
