Google Cloud is discontinuing its Blockchain Node Engine and Blockchain RPC services. The company has officially designated Quicknode as the recommended infrastructure provider for customers needing to migrate their operations.

The shutdown process is divided into two phases. Since June 15, 2026, Google has stopped the creation of new nodes and the provisioning of new RPC endpoints. Existing services remain operational with limited support, receiving only critical updates until the final deadline.

On December 15, 2026, Google will permanently delete all remaining RPC endpoints. While RPC endpoints will be removed automatically, customers are responsible for managing the cleanup of their dedicated nodes.

The service previously supported Ethereum Mainnet, its testnets, Polygon, and Solana. Users relying on archive nodes are advised to begin migration testing early, as historical data replication requires significant preparation.
