Google has integrated its personal AI agent, Gemini Spark, with the Google Photos service. Users can now utilize the assistant to perform various library management tasks directly through the application.
The new functionality allows Gemini Spark to edit images, curate photo albums, and automatically generate shared albums based on user preferences. Additionally, the agent can extract information from photos, such as converting concert flyers into calendar appointments.
To enable these features, users must link their Google Photos account to Gemini. The tool is activated by toggling the Spark option in the upper corner of the Gemini application and entering a text prompt.
Google has not provided information regarding the timeline or availability of this feature for international markets. The update follows the company's broader strategy to automate routine tasks within its software ecosystem.
