Godox has introduced the A2 xenon flash for smartphones, priced at ¥399. The device is currently compatible with the iPhone 15 through 18 series, while support for Android and HarmonyOS devices remains under development.
The flash features a GN15 guide number and supports 1/8000s high-speed synchronization. It utilizes xenon technology to provide direct lighting, which the company suggests is suitable for backlit or nighttime portrait photography.
Users can control the device via the Godox Camera App, which connects to the phone using NFC. The app offers both TTL automatic and manual modes, allowing for adjustments to shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and flash output power.
The unit includes a 3W LED light with an adjustable color temperature ranging from 2800K to 6000K for photo and video lighting. The device features a magnetic design compatible with MagSafe, allowing it to be attached to the back of a phone or used off-camera with various accessories.
