The Japanese company GMO AI & Robotics has introduced a mobile service vehicle called the GMO Humanoid Ambulance. The van is equipped with diagnostic tools, spare parts, and an onboard engineer to provide on-site maintenance for humanoid robots.

A key feature of the service is the inclusion of a replacement robot in the vehicle. If a robot cannot be repaired immediately, the crew will swap the damaged unit with a spare, allowing the client to continue operations without downtime.

The service was officially unveiled in Tokyo on September 8, 2026. The company plans to launch operations in the capital's urban districts by the end of September 2026.

Currently, the company operates a single ambulance based near its Tokyo headquarters. GMO AI & Robotics intends to expand its fleet and establish additional service bases as the number of humanoid robots in use increases.
