Glimpse has developed software that accelerates CT scanning for battery manufacturers by 10 to 30 times. The system utilizes deep learning algorithms to process images on edge computers, allowing for the inspection of tens of thousands of cells daily. The company is also developing a super scanner with partners capable of completing a scan in one or two seconds.
The startup is expanding its reach with a new product called Explore, designed for the aerospace, automotive, electronics, and medical device sectors. This software aims to speed up quality control checks by streamlining image processing and enabling rapid data loading in web browsers. The platform also provides automated measurements and flags deviations from specified norms.
Currently, Glimpse serves over 100 clients, including Anker, Lucid, and the U.S. Navy, with revenue in the mid seven-figure range. The company operates a scanning center in the Boston area and plans to open a second facility in the San Francisco Bay Area. This service allows customers to outsource inspections without the need to purchase expensive scanning equipment.
