The Altcoin Cycle Signal from analytics platform Glassnode has issued a new signal indicating the start of an altcoin season. This proprietary metric tracks the market capitalization of the 250 largest cryptocurrencies, excluding stablecoins, relative to Bitcoin.

The seven-day rolling mean of the signal reached 81.25 on a scale of 0 to 100 as of Monday. According to Glassnode, the current market rally has impacted the broader altcoin sector, whereas previous growth in August was primarily driven by Bitcoin.

The combined market capitalization of altcoins reached $1.19 trillion on Tuesday, the highest level since late January. This represents a 33% increase since August 19, a period during which Bitcoin's market dominance has remained relatively stable, currently sitting at 59.7%.

Investor demand for crypto-related financial products has shown a significant rebound. On Monday, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded inflows of $999 million, while Ether ETFs saw inflows of $270 million, marking the highest daily totals since October 2025.

Data from Farside Investors indicates that the aggregate cost basis for Bitcoin ETF investors was just below $86,000 at the end of last week. Bitcoin is currently trading at approximately $86,119.
