Gigabyte has released firmware updates for its entire line of Intel B760 and H610 motherboards. These updates are designed to ensure compatibility with upcoming LGA1700 processors, which are anticipated to launch in early 2027.
The new BIOS versions support both DDR4 and DDR5 memory configurations. Users will be able to install the forthcoming CPUs by flashing their existing boards with the latest firmware. Gigabyte claims to be the first manufacturer to provide this support across its full range of B760 and H610 models.
While Intel has not officially announced new chips for the LGA1700 socket, reports suggest the company is preparing Raptor Lake Next processors for release in 2027. These chips are expected to be based on the original Raptor Lake silicon architecture.
The update process appears to have begun prior to the official announcement. For instance, the B760 Gaming X AX motherboard received its F18 BIOS update on September 29, which included a microcode update and preparation for future processor support.
Gigabyte has not provided information regarding potential support for Z790, Z690, or B660 motherboards. The current release focuses exclusively on the B760 and H610 series, and there is no confirmation if other chipsets will receive similar updates.
