General Motors has unveiled a new user interface for its upcoming 2027 Sierra and Silverado trucks. The update introduces a split-screen feature that allows Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to run alongside the manufacturer's native software.

The new interface is designed as a single scalable foundation compatible with electric, gas, and diesel vehicles. The split-screen functionality enables users to access phone projection while keeping vehicle controls, such as climate and range settings, visible on the display.

In 2023, General Motors announced the removal of Apple CarPlay from its electric vehicle lineup, shifting to software developed in partnership with Google. The company has not yet confirmed if the new split-screen interface will be implemented in its electric models.
