Gemini has launched a dedicated Politics Hub on its prediction platform to provide real-time updates on the 2026 US midterm elections. The new feature covers Senate, House, and gubernatorial races across the country.
The exchange introduced its prediction services in December 2025 after obtaining a Designated Contract Market license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This regulatory status allows Gemini to offer real-money contracts on event outcomes.
The platform previously hosted markets for congressional and presidential contests. The new hub centralizes these offerings, allowing users to trade on outcomes that may influence future crypto regulation and tax policy.
Trading volumes on the platform for specific political questions, such as the passage of crypto market structure legislation, have reached tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Gemini now competes with other prediction platforms like Kalshi, which also holds a CFTC designation, and Polymarket, which operates with restricted access for US users.
