Gate, led by CEO Dr. Han, introduced Gate Money on October 7 at the TOKEN2049 conference. The platform integrates digital assets, equities, payments, and asset management into a single account. Users can access the service by updating the Gate App to version 8.39.0.
The platform allows users to hold multiple fiat and digital currencies, manage fiat accounts, and obtain bank accounts for cross-border transfers. It supports the Gate Card, which enables online and offline purchases via Apple Pay and Google Pay, alongside ATM withdrawals and QR-code payments in specific regions.
Gate Money includes conversion tools and wealth management features, such as earning up to 3.6% on USDT balances without lock-up periods. The service aims to bridge traditional finance and digital assets, allowing users to manage stocks, commodities, and forex alongside crypto holdings.
The company operates under a global compliance framework, holding licenses including a MiCA CASP and PSD2 license in Malta, a VASP license from Dubai's VARA, and registration with AUSTRAC in Australia. Gate currently serves over 61 million users across 81 regulated jurisdictions.
