Gate has partnered with Visa to introduce a crypto-linked payment card. The product will be available in more than 40 markets globally, allowing users to spend digital assets at any merchant that accepts Visa.
When a payment is made, the platform automatically converts the user's cryptocurrency into fiat currency at the point of sale. Users can manage the card and access payment services directly through the Gate app.
The integration connects Gate's user base of over 61 million people to Visa's network, which spans more than 175 million merchant locations across over 200 countries and territories.
Gate has also launched Gate Money, an application that integrates digital assets, fiat currencies, stocks, and banking services. Users can update their app to version 8.39.0 to access these features.
The company, founded in 2013, supports trading for over 5,300 crypto assets and 12,800 stock assets. Globally, there are now more than 160 active stablecoin-linked Visa card programs.
