Garda has released version 5.6 of its Garda DCAP system, designed for enterprise-level IT infrastructures. The update focuses on enhancing performance in environments with over 10,000 users, improving the speed of neural network modules, and increasing cache volume by 30%.
The new version triples the speed of rule processing and optimizes the EDR module for event ingestion. These improvements aim to reduce routine tasks for IT and cybersecurity teams while accelerating the investigation of security incidents.
Garda DCAP 5.6 introduces automated synchronization of user access rights across multiple databases to minimize human error. Users can now export access matrices for folders and groups in CSV and XLSX formats, facilitating mass audits.
The update ensures that security policies and access rights are preserved when files are moved between local and network storage via the Folder agent. Additionally, the system now tracks initial and final domain login times to help identify work schedule anomalies.
Security has been strengthened through the implementation of HTTPS with mutual authentication for communication between servers and agents. Roman Podkopaev, business partner for data protection at Garda, noted that these features provide better transparency and operational control.
