Garda, a subsidiary of ICS Holding, has released version 5.8 of its Garda DBF database security system. The update introduces a universal audit mechanism for operations within the 1C platform, allowing organizations to track data events in a dedicated interface to mitigate internal security risks.
The new version enhances compatibility with Russian IT infrastructure, including official support for Red OS 8 and ROSA Virtualization, both certified by FSTEC. The system is now compatible with the XFS file system, facilitating deployment in large-scale environments that require domestic software solutions.
Garda DBF 5.8 automates vulnerability checks through integration with the company's update service, allowing for scheduled or manual scans. This feature aims to reduce the vulnerability window by ensuring that security signatures are consistently up to date.
The update expands database support to include Tarantool 3.7.0, Arenadata Prosperity 6.7, Arenadata QuickMarts 26, and Jatoba 18.1.1. Additionally, the PostgreSQL agent now supports simultaneous processing of encrypted and unencrypted traffic to improve monitoring depth.
New pre-installed policies have been added to assist financial organizations in meeting PCI DSS compliance requirements. According to Dmitry Larin, head of database security at Garda, the update also improves web interface response times and streamlines routine security operations.
