G.Skill has introduced the Trident Z5 Royal NeoX DDR5-6000 memory modules, featuring support for AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) profiles. These modules operate at a frequency of 6000 MHz, with latency values ranging from CL36 to CL26.
The NeoX update introduces the AMD EXPO ULL profile, which allows for finer tuning of secondary and tertiary sub-timings and a low-latency mode. This enables compatible Ryzen-based systems to automatically apply more aggressive memory parameters beyond standard frequency and primary timing configurations.
AMD presented the EXPO ULL technology at Computex 2026, stating that it provides an average gaming performance increase of approximately 4% compared to standard EXPO profiles. G.Skill had previously released Trident Z5 NeoX RGB and Flare X5X modules utilizing this technology.
The Trident Z5 Royal NeoX modules maintain the signature Royal series features, including mirror-finished aluminum heat sinks and a crystalline RGB lighting panel. The modules will be available in silver and gold versions. The manufacturer has not disclosed theing price or the full range of available total capacities, though a 32 GB kit is mentioned. The series will be released globally in stages, requiring compatible processors, motherboards, and BIOS versions for EXPO ULL functionality.
