Fujitsu Limited has announced the upcoming global release of its next-generation processor, FUJITSU-MONAKA, scheduled for November 2026. The company intends to offer the CPU as a standalone component for data center operators, cloud providers, and server manufacturers.
Alongside the standalone processor, Fujitsu will introduce a dedicated server line featuring the new chip. These systems are designed to support sovereign AI infrastructure and will be available to clients in Japan and Europe, including the defense, academic, and high-performance computing sectors.
The FUJITSU-MONAKA architecture supports a maximum operating frequency of 3.8 GHz and memory transfer speeds of 8800 MT/s. According to the manufacturer, the chip provides double the AI inference throughput compared to existing CPU solutions.
The new hardware is engineered to improve power efficiency, potentially reducing the total number of servers and overall energy consumption by half for equivalent workloads. Production of both the processor and the server units will take place in Japan.
