Fujifilm is reportedly preparing to launch its X-T6 mirrorless camera between late 2026 and early 2027. The company previously considered an autumn release but shifted its focus toward lens development, postponing the camera body debut to a future X Summit event.
The upcoming model is expected to feature the X-Processor 6, which aims to increase data throughput speeds. This new processor will support next-generation deep learning AI for autofocus, enhancing capabilities in subject prediction, continuous tracking, and multi-subject recognition.
Regarding imaging hardware, the camera is likely to incorporate a 40MP partially stacked X-Trans 6 sensor. This architecture is designed to reduce pixel readout time, which may result in faster electronic continuous shooting speeds for the device.
