Fujifilm has unveiled the Instax Pal 2, a compact digital camera featuring a design inspired by traditional analog film devices. Unlike its predecessor, which lacked a display, this new model incorporates both an optical viewfinder and a 1.3-inch LCD screen on the top panel for framing and reviewing images.
The device is equipped with a 1/3.06-inch sensor and an f/2.2 28mm lens, enabling it to capture 10-megapixel photos. Technical specifications include autofocus with face detection, as well as manual adjustments for ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation.
The camera includes a flash, a tripod mount, and a self-timer. Users can operate the device for up to three hours on a single charge. The physical interface features a shutter button, a joystick, and a lever for advancing exposures, mimicking the feel of vintage film cameras.
Data transfer is supported via Bluetooth for wireless connection to smartphones and instant printers, or through a slide-out USB-C port. The camera integrates with a dedicated mobile app for downloading image effects and managing photo transfers.
