Fujifilm has unveiled the Instax Square 2, a new analog instant camera that continues the design lineage of the SQ1 and SQ40 models. The device features a redesigned, rounded body and retains an optical viewfinder alongside a selfie mirror on the front. It is expected to hit the market later this month with a retail price of $119.95.
The camera introduces a physical mood filter switch, allowing users to toggle between Warm and Cool settings to adjust color tones. Users can select from three shooting modes—Close-up, Standard, and Landscape—using a rotating lens ring. The device supports a focus range from 0.3 meters to infinity and includes automatic exposure and flash adjustments.
Alongside the hardware, Fujifilm is launching a new Soft Haze instant film. This film is designed to produce images with lower contrast and saturation, featuring glowing highlights and diffused shadows. Each pack of the new film will be priced at $18.99 for 10 exposures. The camera itself will be available in slate blue, brick red, and misty white.
