Frax Finance has launched six new foreign exchange pools on the Aerodrome decentralized exchange, which operates on the Base network. Each pool utilizes the frxUSD stablecoin as a base asset paired with tokens tracking national currencies.

The available trading pairs include the Brazilian real (BRZ), Canadian dollar (CADD), British pound (tGBP), Indonesian rupiah (IDRX), South African rand (ZARP), and Australian dollar (AUDF).

Initial data from GeckoTerminal indicates that the combined liquidity across these six pools is approximately $241 000, with a 24-hour trading volume of roughly $20 000.

This initiative follows a previous deployment of similar pools on the Polygon network via Curve Finance earlier in 2026. On Aerodrome, frxUSD currently functions as a connector token for routing trades.

Aerodrome is scheduled to merge with Velodrome on October 21, 2026, to form a unified liquidity layer named Aero. Following this transition, Frax intends to migrate its protocol-owned liquidity to the new platform.
