Framework has announced a price reduction for its laptops, citing a decrease in the procurement costs of memory modules. The company previously raised prices due to the ongoing memory market crisis, but recent efforts by its supply chain team have secured more affordable components.
The company successfully sourced a limited supply of Micron LPCAMM2 memory modules in 32 GB and 64 GB capacities at lower prices. Framework stated its commitment to passing these savings on to customers to improve the overall affordability of its hardware lineup.
The new pricing applies to both products that have already been shipped and certain items currently in the pre-order stage. While these costs are lower than the previous adjustments, they remain above the initial launch prices. Due to the limited availability of the memory, these reduced rates may be temporary.
