Framework has announced a price reduction for its Laptop 13 Pro pre-orders, following a successful procurement of LPCAMM2 memory modules at a lower cost. This adjustment applies to both current pre-orders and those already shipped, with the company issuing partial refunds to customers who previously paid higher rates.
While the new pricing remains above the initial launch cost, it is lower than the increased rates introduced in July. Customers with pending orders up to batch 10 can now modify their memory configurations to 32 GB or 64 GB at the reduced price. Framework is also providing a dedicated contact form for customers who have already received their units to facilitate memory configuration changes and shipping.
Conversely, the company is raising prices for the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor variant. Framework cited higher procurement costs for the new batch of CPUs as the reason for the increase. Existing pre-orders for the X9 configuration remain unaffected by this price hike, and current customers are being granted priority access to upgrade to this processor batch.
