Fractal Design has released the Refine 2, the second generation of its gaming chair. The model retains a racing-inspired silhouette and a heavy frame, but introduces several updates based on user feedback. The chair is priced at $640, positioning it between standard gaming chairs and premium office seating.

The assembly process is designed for a single person and takes approximately 15 minutes. The backrest features a pre-placed screw system that simplifies installation. The chair is available in three upholstery options: fabric, mesh, and a hybrid version, with two colorways: light and dark.

Key technical updates include 4D armrests that now lock in place and a modified tilt limiter. While the tilt mechanism is more flexible than in the original model, it remains firm. The chair also features dual-pad lumbar support that can be adjusted manually for both vertical position and tension.

The Refine 2 weighs approximately 36 kg and supports users weighing between 60 kg and 135 kg, with a recommended height range of 160 cm to 200 cm. It includes a class 4 gas lift, a glass-fiber reinforced frame, and a detachable neck pillow made of memory foam.
